Evolve and Elevate: How to be truly giving? When does God accept you? and One thing that I do not want to leave behind.
Idea of the Week
How to be truly giving?
“You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”
Kahlil Gibran
Lesson of the Week
When does God accept you?
Bhagavad Gita says:

To purify the heart of materialistic men, there are certain Karmas prescribed and the one who becomes purified through such Karmas is eligible to accept Sanayasa (The renounced order of life).
Without purification one cannot attain success by abruptly adopting Sanayasa.
According to the learned philosophers, simply by accepting Sanayasa and retiring from selfish expectation of fruitive Karmas, one at once becomes equivalent to Naryana.
But Lord Krishna does not approve this principle.
Without purification of heart, Sanayasa is simply a disturbance to the social order. On the other hand if someone serves the divine God even if he does not discharge the prescribed Karmas, then whatsoever advancement he does is accepted by the Lord.
Even a slight performance of such a principle enables one to overcome great difficulties.
Inspiration of the Week:
One thing that I do not want to leave behind.
Just because people hurt, the world has an ugly side and life sucks at times, I do not want any of it to bring down my goodness and fade away my love.
Life will give us every reason to become bitter, bad and rude but if we allow it, we will only be doing more harm to ourselves than to anyone else.
I had experiences that could have brought an uglier version of me to the surface but then my strong reliance on God and my divine power kept my innocence and love guarded every time.
It will rain, there will be storms, there will be drowning, but in every situation, there is always a possibility to endure and fight back. Once we focus on preserving our humanness, no negative experience of life can take away our core instinct of being human.
People who dislike me should not stop me from being loved.
People will hurt me, but that should not stop me from treating them well.
People will make me feel small should not stop me from being nice.
The world can go bad should not stop me from being good.
