Evolve and Elevate: Do not use what you do not have, Benefit of Karma done without personal benefit, Most important thing in relationship
Idea of the Week
Do not use what you do not have

Lesson of the Week
Benefit of Karma done without any personal benefit
Bhagavad Gita says:

A Karma is said to be of highest transcendental quality when any activity is done in Krishna consciousness or done for the benefit of Krishna without expectation of sense gratification/personal desire or benefit.
One finds no obstacle in carrying out such divine Karma even after it’s a small beginning nor can this small beginning be lost at any stage.
Any Karma done on the material plane with a personal desire has to be completed otherwise the whole attempt becomes a failure, but work done in Krishna consciousness has a permanent effect even though it is not finished.
The person performing such a divine karma bears no loss or harm even if his work in Krishna consciousness is left incomplete.
Even if only 1% of such divine karma is done in Krishna consciousness it bears permanent results and next time it will begin with 2%. But in material karma, until one achieves 100% success, there is no profit.
Ajamil (one of the God’s devotees) performed his karma in some percentage for Krishna consciousness but the result he enjoyed at the end was 100 % by the grace of the Lord.
There is a nice verse in this connection in Bhagavad Gita.
“If someone gives up self-gratifying pursuits and works in Krishna consciousness and then falls down because of not completing the work, then there is no harm”.
And there is no gain if he performs his material activities perfectly or as the Christians say, “What profits a man if he gains the whole world yet suffers the loss of his eternal soul?”
Material karma and their results end with the body, but work done in Krishna consciousness carries the person again to Krishna consciousness even after the loss of the body.
At least one is sure to have a chance in the next life of being born again as human being either in the family of a great cultured Brahmana or in a rich aristocratic family that will give one a further chance of elevation.
That is the unique quality of work done in Krishna consciousness.
Inspiration of the Week:
Most important thing in relationship
Freedom!
The moment we get into a relationship, we start becoming the jailor who constantly keeps an eye on the person entering into this beautiful prison “heart”.
We start assuming that only if they stay, our hearts will continue beating and while we think so, we start building walls around them.
They always wanted to be there but now that you built walls, they feel suffocated.
They never wanted to leave but they are not comfortable being caged in these walls.
When it gets unbearable, they start hammering them and want to break free.
It’s painful not because they want to leave but because it was not just the wall that was broken but your heart that becomes the part of crumbling.
The advice is:
Don’t make your heart a prison for your loved one for in the end, the prisoners will be free, and you will be caged in it.
