Evolve and Elevate: Difference between Great people and everyone else, Right use of violence, best way to challenge yourself.
Idea of the Week
Difference between Great people and everyone else
“I believe it’s true that the difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing. The difference between the two is living intentionally and living by accident.”
Michael Gerber
Lesson of the Week
Right use of violence
Bhagavad Gita says:

Everything has its proper utility, and the knowledgeable one knows how and where to use a thing for its proper utility.
Similarly, violence also has its proper utility, and its utilization depends on the person who has its knowledge.
Although the one condemned for murdering someone is given capital punishment by the justice of peace, but the judge cannot be blamed for ordering violence to another person according to the codes of justice.
In Manu-Samhita, the lawbook for mankind, it is supported that a murderer should be condemned to death so that in his next life, he will not have to suffer for the great sin he has committed. Therefore, the king’s punishment of hanging a murderer is beneficial.
Similarly, when Lord Krishna orders for fighting, it must be understood that this violence is for justice and in this manner, Arjuna should follow this order knowing that such violence committed in the act of fighting for Krishna is not violence at all because the man or soul cannot be killed.
So, for the administration of justice, so-called violence is permitted. A surgical operation is not done to kill the patient but to cure him.
Therefore, the battle to be fought by Arjuna on the commands of Lord Krishna is being done with complete knowledge so there is no possibility of a sinful reaction.
Inspiration of the Week:
Best way to challenge yourself
Things that you feel most afraid of are the things that challenge you the most.
The word challenge means something that makes you uncomfortable and when you are in an uncomfortable space, you feel the pressure to come out of it.
And the magic happens when you make attempts to get out of this uncomfortable space.
Because the growth is when you are exposed to something that makes you uneasy and you begin to flutter to come out of it.
So, the next time you think of self-improvement or upgrading yourself, ask yourself one simple question:
What do I fear the most and what stuff do I doubt myself most about?
Once you have the list of things, take the plunge. It is on the other side of all these things that scare you, your growth lies.
You will never feel ready to take the challenge. The idea is to dive anyway without looking at the possibility of succeeding at it.
The secret is, that you fear most of the things not because you are incapable but because you haven’t allowed yourself to explore them.
It is not the problem that is big, it is the fear that makes the problem look bigger.
Fight fear and the problem will crumble and collapse.
