Evolve and Elevate: When something happened that we wish had not, A Krishna conscious man is not in need of anything, A beautiful short love story.
Idea of the Week
When something happened that we wish had not
“Something happened that we wish had not. Which of these is easiest to change: our opinion or the event that is past? The answer is obvious. Accept what happened and change your wish that it had not happened. Stoicism calls this the ‘art of acquiescence’—to accept rather than fight every little thing.”

Lesson of the Week
A Krishna conscious man is not in need of anything
Bhagavad Gita says:

There is always water in the giant ocean but in the monsoons, it gets filled with more water but still the ocean remains still and stable. Neither it gets disturbed, nor does it cross the boundaries of the shore. This is the state of person who is fixed in Krishna consciousness.
As long as human is in the form of a body, it will keep having desires to satisfy its senses. But a Bhakt because of his fullness is not disturbed by such desires.
A Krishna conscious man is not in need of anything because the Lord fulfils all his material necessities. Therefore, he is like the ocean-always full in himself.
Desires may come to him like the waters of the rivers that flow into the ocean, but he is stable in his activities, and he is not even slightly disturbed by desires for sense gratification.
This is the proof of Krishna conscious man-One who has lost all inclinations for material sense gratification although desires are present.
Because he remains satisfied in loving service of the Lord, he can remain steady like the ocean and enjoy full peace.
But other people who keep fulfilling desires even up to the limit of liberation, let alone material success, never attain peace.
The fruitive workers, the salvationists and also the yogis who are after mystic powers are all unhappy because of unfulfilled desires. But the person in Krishna consciousness is happy in the service of the Lord and he has no desires to be fulfilled.
In fact, he does not even desire liberation from the so-called material bondage.
The devotees of Krishna have no material desires, and they are perfect in peace.
Inspiration of the Week:
A beautiful short love story

Jacku is jealous of everyone to whom I give attention to other than him.
No matter how much full his bowl is, he runs and wants to eat the bowl that I have filled for Snowy.
No matter how hungry he is, Jacku will leave his bowl to eat from the one that I have fed Snowy just to make sure that Snowy don’t eat from the other bowl.
But Bhuru was different.
Jacku was in love, pure love with Bhuru.
When Bhuru came into his life, the story was altogether different.
Whenever I fed Bhuru, Jacku would just keep adoring Bhuru while she ate from her bowl.
Even if I did not feed him, he would sit calmly and see Bhuru eating with so much love.
Such is Love!
No matter how bad you are, when it comes to someone you love, all the goodness starts overflowing.
