Self-Love Is a Seed: The Truth About Growth, Healing, and Becoming Your Best Self

Self-Love is the seed that bears the sweetest fruit.

Self-love is not the outcome; it’s the beginning.
When you see self-love as a seed, the thought that follows isn’t the fruit it will grow into, but the process and time it will take to grow.
This means you don’t expect instant results.
A seed isn’t complete.
It holds potential, but it also needs time, care, and intention to grow.

Self-love is the same.
Self-love is called the seed because it is in its rudimentary stage; it isn’t ready; it isn’t in its best shape and form yet. This means when we choose self-love, there are parts of ourselves that haven’t grown. The parts that need repair and healing.
Self-love means I see myself as a seed, but I also acknowledge that this seed hasn’t grown yet.

The fruit is not self-love.
The fruit is who you become through it.
It is the result of self-work.
So, it isn’t merely about loving ourselves but about cultivating ourselves into versions that can bear the fruits of self-love.

Self-love is the first step to turn inwards to study ourselves.
While we embrace our flaws, shadows, and wounded parts, we don’t mistake that for acceptance.
We choose to repair them, so they don’t take root and hinder our growth.
Only when we grow into our higher selves can we start to bear the fruits of self-love.

So, self-love is self-reflection, which helps us zoom in on ourselves, study and commit to working on every area where we are unhealed, wounded, not evolved.
In doing so, we help this seed grow, saving it from infections of unhealthy patterns, thus turning it into a beautiful fruit.
