Evolve and Elevate: You are not supposed to be happy always, A person who is fixed in Krishna consciousness and some unsaid rules of relationships.
Idea of the Week
You are not supposed to be happy always
“I’d say, ‘But I’m not happy.’ And [my grandmother] would say, ‘Where is it written that you’re supposed to be happy all the time?’ And I actually think it was the beginning of my spiritual practice—that life is difficult. Then 40 years later, I learned that the buddhists said the same thing, that life is inevitably challenging and how are we going to do it in a way that’s wise and doesn’t complicate it more than it is just by itself?”

Lesson of the Week
A person who is fixed in Krishna consciousness
Bhagavad Gita says:

There is always some type of uthal puthal (upheaval) in this material world no matter how good or bad its result is.
The person who is not agitated by such a material upheaval, one who is not impacted by good or evil, is to be understood to be fixed in Krishna consciousness.
As long as a human being is here in this material world, there is always the possibility of good or evil because this world is full of duality.
But one who is fixed in Krishna consciousness, he is unaffected by the good and evil because he is completely associated with Lord Krishna who is all good absolute.
Such consciousness in Krishna situates one in a perfect transcendental position called technically samadhi.
Inspiration of the Week:
Some unsaid rules of relationships
Relationships can either make us handicapped or show us our real strength. And it’s not about how good or bad your partner is, it’s more about how good or bad you are in your relationship.
Even with a good partner, you can fall into a bad relationship and with a bad partner you can make the relationship still bloom. The common denominator in both is you.
You have the choice to not only protect yourself but also guard your relationship from the inevitable changes that the relationship goes through.
From the amount of understanding I have had about relationships; I sum up these unsaid rules of relationships:
- Relationships are not for the seekers of love but for the ones who seek to fill in the empty spaces with their love.
- Love grows more when you give it away.
- The villain of the relationship is not any of you two but the ego and expectation in both of you.
- Romance can take you to the window, but love will guide you through the door to reach the most beautiful places you ever wanted to be together.
- Your wedding plans shouldn’t be bigger than your marriage goals.
- Physical intimacy is an equivalent of class first but once you have soul intimacy, you are educated in love.
- The biggest termite that breaks the walls of relationship is the rule “My way” and the best repair is “Our way”.
- It isn’t about investing into the person you love as much as it is about loving to invest into the relationship.
- Don’t try to change them, make changes in your ways to see them transform.
- Don’t love so as to be loved back, expecting reciprocation is what blocks love.
- They will never fall short of love if you never demand them for love.
